              Assamese Silk lampas is a compound weave used to produce luxurious figured silk textiles, It is an ancient technique that developed in 10th to 11th century. It combian two structure fromed from plain weave, twill & satin,Lamps silk were produced in India Kingdom of Assam as early as 1500 A.D.
